Freely hand this mind and body over
To the great primordial Dao.
I’ve been doing this for a while now,
And have yet to feel a regret.
When I manage to rest back and make space
It becomes free to manifest, to think and to feel.
It can seem somewhat shy at first,
As if hesitant to step on any toes.
So I freely offer up what I’ve clumsily used and beckon,
Wait in fascination for as long as it takes.
Soon the body produces its own sensations,
And breathes its own perfect breaths.
The mind plays freely or softens into silence,
Finally free to make its own worlds.
It is so beautiful to see,
What it does with a body and mind.
Effortlessly making an art out of the all things,
Dancing through life with wisdom and grace.
And I wait for a time to take over,
But I just don’t feel that I should.
So, I don’t.
I rest.
And watch.
We eat, sleep and wake.
We look and smile and love.
We learn, change and let go.
All arises from us.
All occurs within us.
All falls back into us.
We settle into ourself and know we have always been home.
Shining and mysterious,
Great and perfect,
Just
As
It
Is
.
