Luminous Dharma aspires to freely offer the teachings of the Buddha to all beings. Through generosity and giving we participate in helping the Dharma thrive.
In the Buddhist tradition those who teach the Dharma should not do so for money or goods. And whenever possible, it should be free to all. When we learn the Dharma we are receiving something of value. It has been kept alive by those who supported it in the past, and this is why it is here for us now. If we wish, we can offer something to support the work that continues to make Dharma available.
Here are some recent ways that contributions have been used:
- Shared with spiritual mentors and friends in the Dharma to support them in their work.
- Making donations to good causes, especially those which provide safe homes for animals raised for slaughter or in cruel conditions.
- Enabling time for retreat and intensive periods of practice.
- Shared with the people who organize the events for us.
- Maintaining the website.
