Next…?

As soon as there is awareness of a thought, wait to see what the next thought will be and when it will occur.

  • Notice the current thought.
  • Once noticed, leave the current thought and begin waiting for the next thought to appear.
  • Whenever a new thought is observed, leave it. Then with great interest, observe mind so that the next thought that shows up will be seen immediately.
    • This type of watching has a similar feeling to listening for a pin to drop.
  • In the light of attention thoughts and mental movement will melt and evaporate
    • The sense of duality and “me” is constructed from thought. As thoughts fall away, these perceptions weaken, erode and disappear as well.
