Learning to let nature live itself.
Simple
- Set the body in a safe, relaxed, balanced and alert posture that is aligned with gravity. Once the body is in position, set an aspiration to completely surrender body and mind to nature until the end of the practice period.
- Simply let body and mind operate without any intervention. Add nothing to the experience, and whenever any activity is detected, surrender further.
More detailed
- Set the body in a safe, relaxed, balanced and alert posture that is aligned with gravity. Once the body is in position, set an aspiration to completely surrender the experience of body and mind to nature, silence and inaction until the end of the practice period.
- Simply leave the body still, do not act on impulses to readjust the body position until the practice period is over.
- If you do find that a consciously volitional physical adjustment or movement has taken place, simply notice, then surrender the body into stillness going forward until the end of the practice period.
- Whenever more opportunities to further surrender the body into stillness and nature are perceived, do so.
- While leaving the body still, begin to also observe any impulses that arise tied to internal or external speech and simply remain silent.
- If you do find that a consciously volitional verbal action has taken place, internally or externally, simply notice, then surrender any verbal action into stillness and nature going forward until the end of the practice period.
- Whenever more opportunities to further surrender the body or verbal action into stillness and nature are perceived, do so.
- While leaving body and verbal actions still, begin to also observe any mental activities that arise and simply remain silent.

- When thoughts, moods and other impulses of any type arise, simply let them pass by. Surrender everything and remain in relaxed silence.
- Leave everything set down, adding nothing for the duration of the practice period.
