Mantra into stillness

Rhythmically reciting, the chant naturally grows softer, eventually fading into stillness.

  • Begin by reciting a mantra or recitation outloud in a comfortable rhythm.
  • Find the pitch and volume that intuitively feels most comfortable in body and mind.
  • Continue the recitation, sticking to the rhythm.
  • When it intuitively feels natural to do so, let the recitations grow softer, lower or quieter, staying on the rhythm.
  • When appropriate, let the mantra or recitation fade gradually into silence.
  • Rest and listen to the thoughtless state, let it naturally deepen.
