Relaxing back from doing, the world plays out naturally.
Simple
- Set the body in a safe, relaxed, balanced and alert upright posture that is aligned with gravity.
- Rest back, the opposite of the feeling of leaning forward into life. Remain very still.
- Notice how emptiness already knows how, where, and when to handle experience, there is no need for a “do-er” or pilot.
- Let the self that rested back simply evaporate like a puddle in the sun. Notice what remains.
Detailed
- Set the body in a safe, relaxed, balanced and alert upright posture that is aligned with gravity.
- Eyes open, closed, or open just enough to let light in, follow intuition.
- Settle and rest back, the opposite of the feeling of leaning forward into life.
- Rest back into and directly experience the aligned, balanced and relaxed spine, or into the perceived space behind the body. Remain very still, surrendering experiencing to what remains when the self no longer occupies the drivers seat.
- Observe how emptiness already knows how, where and when to handle experience. The self is not needed to run things.
- While resting back:
- Does emptiness really know how, where and when to handle experience as needed?
- What seems to interfere with this process?
- What seems to support this process.
- While resting back:
- Let the self that rested back open-up, and simply evaporate like a puddle in the sun or a flock of birds taking off. Let the feeling of subject and object fall away. Notice what remains.
